CS 4500 Assignment #2.

For the first assignment, you summarized what you perceive
to be the requirements for the semester project.  For this
assignment, you will propose a preliminary set of external
specifications for the semester project.

Write a short memo, no longer than four pages, outlining
your proposed external specification for the software you
will write as your team's semester project.  Your memo
should be detailed enough for the instructor and grader
to write black-box tests of the software.

The quality of your writing will be graded.  Many clients,
including your instructor, take a dim view of memos that
contain errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation, or the
like, and are more impressed by well-written memos in
straightforward plain text than by fancy presentations of
sloppy writing.

Submit your memo in paper form at the beginning of class
on Friday, 18 January 2013.  There are many students in
this course, so you should remember to identify yourself
in your memo.

Late assignments may be discounted, and very late assignments
are likely to be discarded without credit.
