Cooperative Education at Northeastern University
Northeastern University is the #1 co-op school in the nation (according to U.S. News and World Reports). One reason for that status is because cooperative education coordinators are active members of the university faculty who frequently engage in research to further knowledge of the field of experiential education. For more information about research by Northeastern Co-op Faculty, see the university Co-op website.
Current CCIS Co-op Faculty Projects
• Assessment and Portfolio research, by Prof. Simms and Mr. Erickson. Based on an NSF-funded series of studies on where and how students learn professional skills.
• Co-op Preparation University: an experiment in students helping fellow students prepare for co-op. In collaboration with the Northeastern chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery.
• CCIS Graduating Senior Survey: Where our graduates go and how much they earn.
