Once you've completed Co-op Preparation, the co-op cycle begins in earnest. The following meetings will help keep you on track:

Before Co-op
The Co-Opportunities Expo
Each semester, representatives from a wide variety of CCIS co-op companies will come on campus to give brief presentations and discuss their most unique and challenging jobs. Students who attend this event will have the chance to meet these employers in small groups, ask specific questions, and network further with them during an evening reception. Students must register to participate!
The Fall 2008 Co-opportunities Expo will be on Monday, October 6. Stay tuned for registration info!

Seeking a New Assignment
During the semester before you go out on co-op, all students who are planning to seek their first job or who are changing jobs must attend the Meeting for Students Seeking a New Assignment. At this meeting, students will be briefed on the current state of the job market and job-seeking strategies, as well as specific instructions for the upcoming co-op period. Note: Students who have been on co-op before, who intend to return to their last co-op job, do not need to attend this meeting.

After Co-op
All students returning from a co-op experience must complete the co-op cycle with a Reflection Meeting (also called the "Returning from co-op" meeting). In this meeting, you will be able to share your experiences with the co-op faculty and fellow students, discuss job market and industry issues, and begin thinking about your next co-op. You will also receive all forms necessary to receive a grade for your last co-op, and to begin planning for your next co-op. This meeting is mandatory for all students returning from co-op, including those who have just finished their last co-op and will be graduating soon.
