Academic Standards for Participation in the Computer Science Co-op Program
Freshmen
Freshmen are considered unsuccessful if they fail to achieve the minimum
cumulative QPA of 1.700 and/or, depending on their curriculum, are deficient in
a full quarter's worth of credit as follows:
Total credits in curriculum for Freshman Year - 50
Minimum credits earned unacceptable for Sophomore Status - 37 and under.
Non-Cooperative Sophomore Status On Academic Probation
Students are assigned to this status in Computer Science if their final
freshman QPA ranges from 1.400 through 1.999 and they have more than 5
deficient credits but less than a full quarter's worth of deficient credits.
Academic Probation But With Eligibility For Cooperative Work Experience
This status is for freshmen who complete their programs with
cumulative QPA of 2.000 or higher and have more than 5
deficient credits but less than a full quarter's worth of deficient
credit.
Upper Class (See Student Handbook)
Any student on any form of academic probation, who has a co-op assignment,
will not be permitted to change co-op positions, until that student is
officially removed from academic probation. (Any exception to this condition
must be in writing to the Co-op Faculty Coordinator.)
