Because co-ops are full-time demanding positions, we generally recommend that students not take classes during co-op. However, you my petition your Co-op Faculty Coordinator to take a course if you have successfully completed at least one co-op. Your previous co-op and academic record will be taken into consideration in making a decision on your request.
- Send an e-mail addressed to your Co-op Faculty Coordinator which includes: reasons for taking courses during co-op, course meeting time, work supervisor’s name, phone number and company name. This letter must be complete. Specify if the manager has approved your taking courses during co-op work time.
- Download and complete a Northeastern University Petition Registration Form and bring it with you to a meeting with your coordinator.
