PLANNING YOUR SCHEDULE

GRADUATE DIRECTIONS

1. Write up a GRADUATION CHECKLIST.

• List core courses to be taken each quarter until graduation along with grades.

• Have your academic advisor sign the CHECKLIST.

• Have Ms. Marilyn Dubois, Assistant to the Director of the Graduate Program,

sign the CHECKLIST.

NOTE: Be prepared to leave the Checklist with Ms. Dubois along with your

latest Northeastern University transcript.. It may take a few

days to have her officially check your records.

Ms. Dubois is located in the main office of

the College of Computer Science.

2. Write up a Curriculum Planning Sheet.

• List courses to be taken each quarter until graduation.

• Co-op periods should also appear.

• If planning to take courses during any co-op period, please specify the course(s) and which quarter to be taken.

3. Have your faculty advisor in the College of Computer Science approve the GRADUATION CHECKLIST written above. His/her signature is required ONLY

on the CHECKLIST

4. Make a copy of all materials for your record.

5. Bring the original materials into Dr. Simms either during your 1st formal interview or any meeting therefore.

6. Co-op Approval Application process should be completed before attempting

the above process.

NOTE: Prerequisites to Co-op:

• Computer Science Core Courses must be completed before starting to co-op:

COM 3351, COM 3390, COM 3336.

•Must be enrolled as a full-time graduate student in the College of Computer Science.

•Must be completing at least 24 quarter hours of approved level graduate courses but not more than 35 quarter hours in order to start co-oping.

•Background courses are not counted in the minium 24 quarter hours:

COM 3117, MTH 3001, COM 3112, COM 3114, COM 3116, COM 3117, COM 3150.
